Wayward is a small shop. We collect only what we need to run the newsletter and respond to vendor applications. We don't sell your data — ever.
1. Who We Are
Wayward ("we," "us," or "our") is a woman & queer owned retail shop located at 256 Linden Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information you provide to us through this website (waywardfoco.com).

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Newsletter signups: first name, email address, and the page where you signed up.
- Vendor applications: name, email, Instagram handle, product description, price range, and intake preference.
- Contact & form submissions: any information you voluntarily provide.
- Usage data: pages visited, browser type, and referring URL, collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance.
We do not collect payment card numbers, government IDs, social security numbers, or precise geolocation data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send you the Wayward newsletter (only if you opted in).
- To review and respond to vendor applications.
- To answer questions or fulfill requests you contact us about.
- To maintain and improve the security and performance of this website.
We do not use your information for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or sale to third parties.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only with the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Your Rights Under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA)
If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act (C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 et seq.), effective July 1, 2023, gives you the following rights:
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction — request that we correct inaccurate personal data.
- Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data.
- Right to data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable, readily usable format.
- Right to opt out — opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling (note: we do not engage in any of these activities).
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request to hello@waywardfoco.com. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us at the same address. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General's Office.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
This website uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for site functionality (session state, security tokens). We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. No consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable law.
7. Data Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Vendor application data is retained for up to 24 months to allow Karyn to follow up when category openings arise, after which it is deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at hello@waywardfoco.com and we will promptly delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and trusted cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
